Just back from the dealer! Order is in....for Premium, AT in Galaxy Blue. #2 on the ORDERED list. Dealer has a BRZ coming in next week for viewing! Also hoping MSRP comes in where I think it will. Dealer is projecting May delivery.

That's great! How was the headroom?
Looking good, no price tag I assume?

Surprisingly good! I didn't notice that it was too low; especially since I currently drive a Scion Xb and there is very good headroom in that one. This BRZ is really suited for the driver. You REALLY want to drive it when you sit in it for the first time. The seat is very comfortable. How many days til May?!
Attachment 1560Nope. I went back for a second look two days later and another sales guy (other than the one I've been working with) really really feels like it's going to start right at $25k....
Yeah because that's what everyone's been predicting which should be damn close!

I'm 6'1 pushing 280 (a very broad shoulder guy) and I fit in the car excellent, and the seats felt very comfortable unlike a 370Z (almost as though they could swallow me), they also felt as though you are sitting on the ground. I could easily put a sideways hand between my head and the roof, compared to being barely able to stick a finger between my head and roof of my scion tc
. I also noted that the door trim was very nice, not overly complicated or uncomfortable rigid and solid also unlike my tc, and didn't leave my arm wondering where to put it's self (like a mini cooper). They had it setup next to a subaru wrx sti at the columbus auto show this weekend and because the attendance was so low they allowed me to sit in it check it out. One thing I did notice sitting next the wrx was the very small size of the car compared to one another. I realize this car is a lower budget, and very light weight car, but I just wish it was about the same size as my tc. With my height considered the seat was in the very furthest back position, leaving "absolutely" no room behind for a passenger (unless they have 1.5" legs.) The stick shift felt to be in the perfect place, and the clutch compared to my tc has almost no depression distance at all. Releasing the clutch pedal felt like pushing the gas pedal, very minimal travel and soft touch nothing stiff. The interior lighting looked to done by toyota which in my opinion means that you need to keep an extra small flashlight in the car. I read somethings talking about the mirrors might be small, but the sample they had ample mirrors for seeing around the car. The only negative thing that I didn't notice but would have liked to seen was steering wheel radio controls, I find simplicity in not reaching for the radio driving at night (however it might be that i'm just that lazy).
Well if you're 6'1 and big and you felt comfortable, that's really encouraging. Glad to hear your comments about the door, and shifter and clutch feel too. Thanks.
