Which one did you go with? Do you rinse after the snow foam and then use a wash mitt with new soap or do you foam and use the wash mitt once the foam is on the vehicle?

I am a bit of a detailing geek and find there are many really good products and sources. If you end up going with a DA random orbital polisher, I will make a pitch for using Griot's Garage machine polish series for the simple reason those polishes have a "diminishing factor" where the abrasives deteriorate with use so you will never damage your paint or remove too much. Most pro polishes, while of equal quality - Meguire's 205 for example does not have this diminishing factor due to it's chemical makeup. A pro will achieve similar results with both but they aren't really the same even though the are both an abrasive polish. The Griot's Garage products are made specifically for DIYers and are very safe to use.

I made a video detail series with my 2011 STI. I have improved since then, but all the steps and tips are there for beginners. Detailing takes time, patience and practice. If you have any questions let me know.
