    Re: Turbo Anyone

Its all in the balance of parts, it can and of course will be done by a few. The easiest start will be in a low boost situation and the wild limit is with a complete rebuild or even a transplant. There is probably someone out there thinking a Viper engine is what it needs but what it ends up being is something not resembling the original masterpiece that has been created. A careful diet of lightweight parts mixed with a gentle massaging of the existing drive-train still seems to be the general theme of current buyers but there will be some Frankenstein creations, you can bet on it.

I have no doubt that low 8 PSi boost is possible on stock internals but I think a FA20 Turbo swap would be a better choice...

Sweet engine picture, too bad the BRZ didn't start with that, even if it wasn't turboed yet. The Subaru DI, without the dual injection parts, would be much easier to work with for tuners. I especially like the lightweight parts attached. I guess its good I don't have my car yet, maybe they will run out of the NA/FA20 version and have to supplement with one of those...and maybe I will win the lottery too

By the way, here is the STi version set to come out next year, but still without a turbo...http://http://www.topspeed.com/cars/...-ar127134.html

Now I just need to win the lottery, the STi version looks like just like what the Dr. ordered. I even want that wing too!

    Here is some more

You can have an old dog teach himself new tricks...The rear facing camera's in place of mirrors, the wing, the openings in place of fog lights, the lips, with possible CF hood and top, the functional openings behind both wheel sets... I have died and gone to heaven!

I'm not sure I would like the cameras for side mirrors. I wonder how that would work? would there be monitors dedicated to each camera or would the touch screen show the mirror when you turn on the turn signal?

Also the small camera equipped wing mirrors just look way too small on the side of the car. I would almost rather have no mirrors than those. It just doesn't look good to me. The rest is not bad at all though.

The links just have an extra "http://" at the beginning of them and it looks like the colon is missing. Anyone who wants to follow them, just click the link and remove the "http://" from the address in the address bar so it starts with www and it will work.

Thanks for the help...I did go to the dealer (about every three days) and cancel my BRZ and ask for the STi, wanted to be first on my block to have this and will now concentrate on Japan. Anybody got a link to the top

    Re: Turbo Anyone

Turbo kits are being tested and released now. Anticipate 40-50whp gains at approx 4-5psi. Cant push boost due to compression. Will take internal upgrades to push boost higher. Pricing looks to be in the $4-5k range so far.

    Time will tell.
