I want to hear about the new suspension and corner weighting...I hear the Audio system sounds much better in the drivers seat than "shot gun" or anywhere else in the car. I also hope more "Journals" get started with the other cars.

Here are some mechanical and undercarriage shots:
The engine bay is very impressive to look at, clean and tidy, and plenty of room for improvement. Although, stock, this thing really zips around town nicely. I can't wait to put my foot in it!
I want to do an oil change, it looks fun, not messy!
91 octane (or if you live outside of CA. then you get better, not fair!) and make sure the gas cap is closed all the way.
Rear suspension:
This thing is begging for exhaust and a rear diffuser! But not that crappy Subaru diffuser, a real one that limits the amount of air that flows into that plastic rear bumper section.
Only a 14mm rear sway bar! That is crazy tiny.
I find it interesting being under a Subaru, looking at the front suspension and not seeing drivelines...
Too bad that aluminum skid plate doesn't run the length of the car

Camber and toe adjusting bolts are available now, in case they are not included on the car. Is that front wheel gap before or after the pro-kit? What size upgrade are your new sway-bars or is that all for a future posting in the Tech section?
All the specs given were from factory. Stay tuned for more info!

Gianni, I play GT5 and they have the 86 GT, but I'm trying to spec it as close to a real BRZ as possible and this suspension information is great, but if you could help me understand it a little better, I could use it for my in game car.
- They have Spring Rate as kg/mm and I've tried to translate it, like 153lbs/in = approximately 2.5ish kg/mm? I just want to make sure I'm close.
- And although you have toe, I want to make sure I have this right: Front and Rear toe is -0.18 each?
- The front has no camber, while the rear is 1.25?
- They also have inputs for suspension Extension and Compression but use their own ratings, so I left them at the stock rating of the 86 GT; unless you have your own insights on their possible differences?
Thanks for posting this information all the same!![]()
Some say the BRZ was excellently designed for performance.
I say it was excellently designed to put a smile on a face . . .
The numbers on the left represent the exact alignment of my car, the numbers on the right represent the factory threshold the alignment should contain. And yes the rear has -1.25 deg. of camber, I can actually see it on the car.
As far as the spring rate, I would try 2.75 kg/mm for the front and 3.47 for the rear spring rate. I think I converted it correctly.
Depending on how the car drives after you enter in this data, I would play with it a little bit and make it to you're specs. Higher spring rate in the rear for more oversteer and more camber for drifting to get more grip when sideways.
Hope that helps!

That front swaybar/link looks very close to the other suspension parts...is that just an optical illusion or a point to beware of?
I wonder if my GC8 forged A arms would fit there...
Quick update on the BRZ!
Currently installed are Eibach Pro-Kit springs, Premium Auto Styling taillight overlays and now Cusco Strut Tower bars!
The Pro-Kit lowers the car one inch and keeps the factory spring rate. The car looks great lowered!
The taillight overlays are a unique look and definitely make the rear of the car more aggressive looking.
The strut bars are amazing and look great! The front has the master cylinder brace and definitely makes a difference when braking.
Did the first oil change and filter with Torco SR1 10W-30 100% Synthetic at 1788 miles. This oil was recommended to me by Tony from Torco and he knows everything about oil. The standard 0W-20 the car recommends is mainly to achieve better gas mileage. Going with the 10W-30 is going to be better at higher revs, making the engine stronger, but decrease fuel economy. Full synthetic is different then 100%. Only oil labeled 100% synthetic is 100% synthetic, while full synthetic oil needs 1% of the oil to be synthetic to get the full synthetic label. So far, after the oil change, the car is strong and revs very easily. I am really happy with my choice.
Check out the video of the Cusco bars below!
