Today also marks the end of the mini commercial vehicle production at the Gunma Main Plant in Japan. A farewell ceremony was held at the plant on Februaru 29, for employees and executives of Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. The Gunma plant first saw production of the now acclaimed as a Japanese national car, the 1958 Subaru 360 mini car. Subaru will renew the plant for March production of the all new Subaru BRZ, Toyota 86, and Scion FR-S. The Impreza will also join the BRZ at the Gunma plant by the same month in 2013.
